This workshop offers a unique combination of design and rotary power carving which are applicable to a wide variety of woodturnings, as well as, to other wood surfaces. Along with improving your creativity; design, sketching, and pattern-making will be taught as learnable skills. By fusing design with relief carving you will build skills of both mind and hand. Innovative low-tech design exercises will enable you to develop original and personal work long after the workshop. There will be extensive demonstrations and individual guidance of all techniques. Critique methods will be taught, and then guided, within a supportive group environment. You will leave with an abundance of possibilities and exciting new work. Prepare to be creatively challenged and empowered!
